Kean Jr.’s newest stock trades come after he claimed to have voted to ban members of Congress from trading stocks
SOMERVILLE, NJ — Yesterday, Tom Kean Jr. once again quietly released a Periodic Transaction Report showing more stock trades in the month of August. This latest report shows that he’s trading stocks in data center companies after he voted to give data centers tax breaks in the One Big Beautiful Bill. And, as always, his signature is still at the bottom of the document.
“If you want to know who Tom Kean Jr. fights for, take a look at his stock portfolio. Kean Jr. has voted to raise healthcare costs and give tax breaks to data centers while trading stocks in both industries,” said Rebecca Bennett. “My husband and I divested all of our individual stocks, I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs, and I will fight for a full stock trading ban for members of Congress because I want New Jerseyans to know exactly who I serve.”

REMINDER: During his first campaign for Congress, Kean Jr. promised his constituents that he would move his millions in personal assets into a blind trust. He has failed to deliver on that promise and throughout his time in Congress has traded more than $3 million worth of individual stocks. He continued to play the stock market during his four month absence. Over the summer, he voted on the only stock trading “ban” that doesn’t actually ban members of congress from selling stocks. Despite his vote his stock portfolio has been active in June, July, and August.
