MAGA Republicans are lying about Rebecca because they know she’s the strongest candidate to take on Trump and defeat Republicans this November. 

FACT CHECK: Rebecca never voted for Donald Trump.

• Rebecca grew up in a Republican household. For much of her life, she didn’t think much about politics.
• Having served for more than a decade on active duty in the military, Rebecca Bennett was trained to be apolitical as she served her country with honor and dedication, always putting country over party and service over self. 
• But when the Republican party embraced Donald Trump for President in 2016, she knew she had to take action. In the days before the 2016 RNC Convention, she registered as a Democrat and began making donations to Hillary Clinton for President – her first time ever donating to a campaign.
• In the decade since, she has supported and volunteered for Democratic campaigns at all levels of government, including right here in New Jersey. 

Rebecca’s position on ICE has been clear: 

• The fact that we have masked unidentified agents that are murdering Americans in broad daylight, they are detaining five year-old kids and they are deporting veterans is unacceptable. 
• Rebecca served in the most challenging environments on this earth – that behavior is not allowed in a war zone and it certainly shouldn’t be allowed on American soil. 
• Rebecca believes we have to hold ICE accountable, just like any other federal law enforcement agency. 
• Rebecca is the only candidate in this race to have divested from individual stocks. 
• It is shameful for MAGA Republicans to be meddling and slinging misleading attacks on Rebecca.

“DC Republicans are pouring money into a dark money super PAC to lie about me because I’m the candidate they fear most in November. I served in the military for over 15 years and put my life on the line to defend our country. The GOP is about to learn they picked a fight with the wrong person and are going to have to go through me in November.”

Rebecca Bennett is a military veteran and mom of two who put her life on the line and served this nation for over 15 years. While Rebecca has remained laser-focused on flipping CD7 this November, MAGA Republicans have resorted to the final refuge of losing campaigns: desperate gutter politics. Let’s be clear: these misleading, duplicitous hit pieces are the worst kind of dirty politics, and there is no room for them in this primary.
