SOMERVILLE, NJ — Today, Rebecca Bennett released the following statement after Tom Kean Jr. held a fundraiser in NJ-07 with House Speaker Mike Johnson:
“Tom Kean Jr. has always put his party bosses first and New Jersey last, and today’s appearance with Speaker Mike Johnson was no different. Together, they jacked up the cost of healthcare, have allowed corruption to run rampant in Washington, and spent our tax dollars on a reckless war in Iran that is putting our servicemembers in harm’s way while raising gas prices. Make no mistake, Tom Kean Jr. is not an independent voice for us in Washington. I know what it means to put service over self, and I’m running to finally give New Jersey families a voice in Congress that puts us first,” said Rebecca Bennett.
Let’s not forget: Mike Johnson and D.C. Republicans lit $650,000 on fire meddling in the primary in a failed effort to try and prevent Rebecca from facing off against Kean Jr. because she is the candidate they fear most.
